Is it too much to ask...

For tolerance? In anything, really. But mostly I'm talking about religion.
I was raised with my religion being an important factor, but I was also raised to have tolerance, understanding, and interest for other religions.
...
There are so many intolerant idiots in my school, in THE WORLD.
Religion is a RIGHT, and a CHOICE.
It shouldn't matter this much.
Since this school year started, I've heard a lot of people talking about my religion in negative ways.
I'm trying not to get all butt-hurt about this, but it's hard when I realize how common it is, and not one person is mature or respectful enough to say anything.
What hits me hard is that religion is what more than half the world is fighting and dying for.
It just... makes me wonder what's the point of living in a world like this.
It's depressing and upsetting.
I don't understand why people can't have tolerance. I just... don't get it.

LOL that's fine, I PROMISE. I know EXACTLY how you feel there. I'm buried in school right now. I'm a Freshmen this year and all my teachers are all like
"HERES FIFTEEN TONS OF HOMEWORK ON THE FIRST DAY. WELCOME TO HIGHSCHOOL LULZ."
